Learning Tip: Party math

Use everyday opportunities to practice division. As you are preparing for a party, ask your child math related questions, such as: How many children can take home two balloons from a package of balloons you’ve just bought? How many bouncy balls can you put in each child’s basket of favors and give each child an equal amount based on the total number of balls?

Come up with your own questions as situations arise.
